; Mr Ralph Munn, director of the Carnegie Library at Pittsburg, arrived at Auckland to-day, to make a . survey of New Zealand’s library sys- , tern, on behalf of the Carnegie Corporation, at the request of he i Libraries’ Association of New Zea- ■ land. Mr Munn said that Andrew Carnegie left ten million dollars to be spent in the British Dominions. Large sums had been spent in South Africa, and Canada, but so far, little had come to New Zealand and Australia.
