LOWER RANGE* OF PRICES [FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER, April 19. At Napier wool sale, to-day, buyers were not very enthusiastic over the small offering of 4137 bales of held over and back country wools. Medium and cross bred wools were very dull. Germany and the Continent sought many lots of half bred and extra fine wools, which sold satisfactorily. Medium to coarse qualities sold at a penny less. Southdowns were 2d to 3d down on the last Napier sale. All told there were 30 per cent, of passings. The range of prices was as follows: —Southdown super 15 to 16.1, March 16 to 17, average 13 to 141—14 to 15. Fine half bred 56 to 58, average 15 to 163 —15 to 163, medium halfbred 50/56, average 141 to 161—14 to 161; extra fine crossbred 48/50, super 12 to 13 —121 to 141; average ten to 11—101 to Hi, inferior 6 to 73. Fine crossbred 46/48, average 71 to 84 —8 59/91, inferior 53 to 7 —53 to 7, medium crossbred 44/46, average 51 to 7 —6 to 73; inferior 4 to 51 —43 to 6; coarse crossbred 40/44, average 51 to 63 —6 to 7; inferior 41 to 51 — 43 to 51. Hoggets 48/50 9 to 13—9, to 151, 46/48 71 to 10—81 to 111.
