(Received April 18, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 17.
The “News-Chronicle’s” Berlin correspondent says: The German Government has authorised eighteen German firms to open factories in Lancashire and Yorkshire to manufacture women’s ready made clothing, provided, firstly, that fifty per cent of the materials are of Gorman origin, secondly that all financial transactions are supervised by a trustee representing the German Government; thirdly, that the establishment of factories in England do not entail dismissals in German factories. It is believed that the output is intended principally for Dominion markets.
