AN ENGLISH VIEWPOINT.
Mentioning that his company, on an average, spent £50,000 a year on advertising, Mr Leonard Clements, export manager of Ferodo, Ltd., London, stated that after experimenting considerably his company now use only two types of advertising: newspapers for convincing the public, and trade papers and its own manuals for the trade. Another point that he |em--phasised was that the placing of the appropriation in advertising experts’ hand's accounted mostly for that success. In his opinion, and in that of most Briaish business men, it was foolish for any manufacturer or retailer to do other than place his advertising allotment in an expert’s hands.
