TEXTILES DEADLOCK

QUESTION FOR GOVERNMENTS.

[official wireless.]

RUGBY, March 15. Referring in the Commons to the breakdown of the negotiations between the Lancashire and Japanese textile interests, Mr Runciman said: “The negotiations were arranged as a result of discussions between His Majesty’s Government and the Government of Japan, and it therefore becomes necessary for the two Governments to review the situation that arises as a result of the breakdown. I have accordingly arranged to see the Japanese Ambassador forthwith, but it would be premature to make any further statement at the present time.”
