RUNANGA BALLOT RESULT.
“Are you in favour of dismissing Dr. Meade?” was the question to decide which a ballot has been conducted among the members of the Point Elizabeth Medical and Accident Society. The ballot was the outcome of some recent dissatisfaction with the doctor s services. As a result, of the ballot, Dr. Meade will be retained, the majoiity in his favour being 43 The v °ting ■was as follows: —Yes, 233; No, 276, informal 15. , . The ballot taken for the election of president of the Society resulted in the success of Mr. J. Devine, the voting being as follows:-—J. Devine 239, S.
