DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS [PER press association.] CHRISTCHURCH, January 4. The tennis championships were con tinned in fine weather up to five o’clock, when rain caused a postponement of further play. As a result of the matches to-day, Andrews meets Sproule, and Donohoe . meets Malfroy in the semi-finals of the men’s singles. The best contest to-day was that in which Sproule defeated Angas 6/3, 6/2, 3/6, 6/2. In the women’s semi-finals, Mrs. Dykes meets Miss Valkenburg, and Miss Marjorie MacFarlane meets Miss Bickerton. In the men’s doubles - semi-final, Sproule and Donohoe beat Angas and Barnett 7/5, 6/4, 6/0. TO-DAY’S PLAY CHRISTCHURCH, January 5. The New Zealand tennis championship results are as follow: — Men’s Doubles, semi-final: Seay and Malfroy beat Rhodes-Williams and Dymond, 6/2, 6/4, 5/7, 6/1.
