LAGNY DISASTER

As a sequel to the Lagny disaster, charges of imprudence, inefficiency, negligence, and non-observance of the regulations, involving loss of life, have been preferred against Merlin (chief engineer), Martelot (assistant engineer), Montignault (workshop foreman), Mougeot (technical inspector), Pietremont (assistant foreman), and Caron (inspecting mechanic), while the driver and' fireman of the Strasbourg express are charged with culpable negligence.
