PRISONERS SENTENCED
WELLINGTON LIST. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, December 19. Prisoners Were sentenced, to-day, by Justice MacGregor as follow: — _ Joe Hoe, attempting to obtain £ 150 from a bookmaker at Palmerston North, by false pretence, six months’ imprisonment. Arthur Devine, theft as servant, by failing to account for £lO2/10/- to Smith, Wylie and Co., 18 months’ imprisonment. Gillies Francis Nicole, theft of £65 8/5 from his employers, Fashions, Ltd'-, nine months’ imprisonment. Arthur Oliver, indecent assault on a female child, convicted and ordered to come up for setence within two years it called upon. Hairy Collins, theft from a dwelling at. Palmerston North, 18 months' imprisonment. Edward Reginald Burt, bigamy, six months' imprisonment.
