REEFTON NOTES

Loub own cobbespondent.] REEFTON, December IS. Mrs J. and Miss L. King returned to Reefton on Saturday. Mrs Robbins, who has been in the North Island, has returned to Reef ton, much improved in health. The break-up conceit of the Blackspoint School was held in Black’s Hall on Saturday. Despite the wet night there was a good attendance, and an enjoyable programme was given by the children, who showed evidence of careful training by their teacher, Mr Dow'. The school funds should be helped considerably. Saturday was a showery day at Reefton, and heavy rain fell almost continuously all day on Sunday. This will do an immense amount of good, as a good fall was needed, and garden crops and pasture will be showing the benefit.. All week-end sporting fixtures had to be postponed on account of the rain.
