ITALIAN SCHEME REJECTED [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —CCMYBIGHT.] (Rec. December 9, 11.20 a.m.) PARIS, December 8. M. Boncour (Foreign Secretary), categorically informed the Deputies that the League of Nations will remain the basis of France’s policy. “We shall not. allow a breach therein, and shall oppose any attempt to create a hegemony within the League. All our ententes and pacts are indissolubly bound up with the League mechanism,” he said.
