INADEQUATE RENTALS
PUBLIC TRUSTEE SUED. [PEB PBES? ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, December 8. Adopting the report of the referee, Mr Page, S.M., Mr Justice MacGregor to-day gave reserved judgment in the Merry case, awarding Mrs Merry £1059/15/2, with interest from June 30 and costs, amounting to £615, witnesses’ expenses and disbursements against the Public Trustee. The action was taken on the ground that the rentals from certain properties were inadequate. His. Honor fixed the remuneration of the referee at £lO5, which is also to be paid by the defendant.
