“BETTY.” A large and enthusiastic audience greeted the Hokitika Amateur Operatic Society at the Princess Theatre, Hokitika, last night, when they introduced the winsome “Betty.” The big cast excelled in their work which, together with the beautiful frockings, fine settings, clever ballets and lilts, enhanced by an efficient orchestra, caused time to pass quickly. The audience was not stinting in its applause.
