NEW ZEALANDER’S DEATH. SYDNEY,. November 1.
William Campbell, or Cattle, aged 22, a native of New Zealand, was found dead in a farm paddock near Wyalong. The contents of his stomach have been forwarded to the Government Analyst at Sydney, as the police suspect murder by poisoning.

The latest figures prepared by the Department of Labour and Industry, show the number of unemployed in the State was reduced to 99,500, compared with 200,000 in Ju,.ly, 1932. Recipients of the dole were reduced from 85,000 to 64,000.
CENSUS RETURNS CANBERRA, October 31.
Australia’s population according to the final census count announced today, is 6,630,600, of which males comprise 3,367,815 and females 3,262,785. New South Wales population totals 2,601,104; Victoria, 1,820,360; Queensland, 947,789; South Australia, 580,987; Western Australia, 436,948; Tasmania, 227,605; Federal capital territory 8,947 and the Northern Territory 4.560.
