LONDON, October 27. Major J. 11. McCormick, a member of the Northern Ireland Parliament, when going home in Belfast, was held up by two men, and ordered to put up his hands. Instead he struck one on the head with a walking stick, this resulting in a struggle, in which three shots were fired, wounding McCormick once in the arm, but not seriously. McCormick had persistently questioned the Ulster Ministers concerning measures against the Republican Army.
