At Belfast in the International Soccer match, before a crowd of 40,000 ■spectators, in fine weather, England defeated Ireland by 3 to 0. AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. AUCKLAND, October 15. In the Falcon Cup Soccer semi-final and championship match, Glen Innes 3, beat Ponsonby 1. This defeat prevents Ponsonby from gaining championship honours, which go to Thistle. WELLINGTON FINAL. WELLINGTON, October 15. Petone defeated Marist by 5 goals to
3 in the final of the Wellington Football Association's First Division Championship on Saturday. Following the game, the Shield was presented Io the winning side, by Mr. J. J. .Roberts, President of the Association. The Cup for the winners in the-Second Division was also handed to .Petone.
