PUBLIC A TlO N S RE C LIVED. From Christchurch Press Co., Ltd.: “Now Zealand Illustrated,” 1934 —Any interest flagging in the Christmas numbers issued at this season, must he revived by a. perusal of this really excellent collection of the Dominion’s scenic resorts in town and country, inland and coast, mountain and valley, agricultural and pastoral. Pride in tin's country’s magnificent natural beauties will be increased, and many a n'scfiil “hint.” will be forthcoming to those planning their Summer holidays. As a Christmas “card” for relatives and friends overseas, anything more welcome would be difficult to devise, being worth many ordinary letters or greetings. A line supplement, “The Last Load,” by the late William Greene, is worth framing, and as a specimen of the printers’ art, the whole publication is one of which those responsible may well be proud. Several photographs are included of Greymouth and other Westland beauty spots. From Gordon and Gotch (Christchurch), “Strand,” “Grand.” “Novel,” short stories, magazines, each containing interesting articles and fiction, to suit all tastes and both sexes. ‘‘Croat Thoughts,” and “Boys’ Own Paper” are more special in their appeal. Weldon’s Bazaar of Children's Fashions, October number, contains free patterns of girl’s tunic and blouse 9-10 years, little boy's sun suit and blouse and knickers 3-4 years.
