AUCKLAND, October 16. Arrived, Niagara, from Sydney. SHIPPING NOTES. The Rata sailed on Saturday evening for Wanganui, via Westport. The Kartigi, which arrived in the roadstead on Friday morning, berthed this morning to load timber for Melbourne. She is scheduled to sail tomorrow night. The Karepo is unlikely to sail to-day for Wellington, unless the bar moderates.

The Kanna is now due on Thursday from Westport to complete loading for Auckland.

The Kaimai is due on Thursday to load timbei' and coal for Miramar and Wellington. Tho Kalingo is due the first week in November to load timber for Sydney and Newcastle.

A Union Company steamer is due the first week in November to load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide.
