DIVORCE DAMAGES OF 1/-

GRANTED V.C. WINNER.

PERTH. September 29

One shilling damages was awarded ’by a jury in the Divorce Court to-day in favour of Clifford Wiliam King Sadlier, Victoria Cross winner, against George Edward Grigg, publican, who figured as co-respondent. The jury found that adultery had occurred on the occasion when a raiding party caught Mrs. Sadlier and Grigg in a motor car on. the night of April 3, in an unfrequented part of the city endowment lands, Wembley, but they also found, contrary to Mr. Justice Dwyer’s direction, that Sadlier had been guilty of conduct conducive to his wife’s immorality. The question of costs will be argued in chambers.
