REVOLT IN SIAM

A rising occurred among the troops in Eastern Siam, who have captured Donmuang aerodrome, which is the regular landing stage for air services from Europe.
Thirteen kilometres from Bangkok, tho rebel troops encountered Government forces from the capital. Firing occurred, but there are no details.
Martial law has been proclaimed. Their Majesties are staying at the seaside. Armed guards are placed at the Legations and foreign banks. The population of Bangkok is quiet. Iho Siamese Consul at Singapore expects the Government to restore normality in two or three days.
