BLENHEIM ACCIDENT. [PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] BLENHEIM, September 26. Bert the second victim of Sunday’s aeroplane accident, had a good night, and his condition is satisfactory. He is not on the dangerous list at the hospital. MCGREGOR’S RECOVERY. PALMERSTON N„ September 25. Squadron-Leader McGregor, pilotinstructor of the Manawatu Aero Club, who was seriously injured in a crash at Milson last December, recently came out of the hospital. At the weekend, he made a second solo flight, proving still an adept at the controls of the plane. AUSTRALIAN MISHAP. [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] SYDNEY, September. 25. An aeroplane with two Brisbane youths, Alfred Henderson, aged 19, and Frederick Robertson, aged 18, crashed near Taree, on the north coast of' N.S.W. to-day. Henderson sustained a broken nose, but his companion was unhurt. Engine trouble necessitated a forced landing, l the machine striking a fence. It overturned and was wrecked. Local farmers extricated the youths.

Colonel Roscoe Turner' broke the ■west to east trans-continental speed record by 13S minutes, negotiating the distance from Burbank (California) to the Floyd Bennett field here, 2520 miles, in ten hours 51 minutes. ! Turner flew a 900 horse-power lowwing monoplane, his top speed being 315 miles an hour.
