MEXICAN HURRICANE

HUNDREDS KILLED AND INJURED [BY CABtE—PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] TAMPICO, September 17. At least 91 persons were killed in a hurricane which struck here, spreading death and destruction for 300 miles inland. Delayed dispatches from San Luis Potosi reported that 80 and possibly 100, were drowned in a flood when a dam gave way. More than 100 in other localities were injured. Thousands are homeless. The property damage is believed to be many millions of dollars. THE LATEST ESTIMATE MEXICO CITY, September 17. Hurricane flood waters which resulted in over thirty deaths at Tampico, continued in various parts of Northern Mexico. The estimated death total will exceed 130. Forty bodies are reported recovered in the lowlands following a dam break on the Santiago river, near San Luis Potosi.
