N.S.W. FARM TRAGEDY
MAN AND GIRL SHOT. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] SYDNEY, September 17. A shooting tragedy occurred at Tarcutta yesterday, "it having peculiar features. Two are dead. They are: — Ronald Haggars, aged 25 years, and Audrey Stockwell, aged 15 years. The latter was a farmer’s daughter. The police are of the opinion that there was a pact. The pair were sweethearts. Haggars had been warned to cease his attention to the girl, who slipped out in her nightdress. Her dead body was found, with a bullet wound in the chest, propped against a tree. There were remnants of a mask over her eyes.
Haggars’ body, with a gunshot wound, with found beside that of the girl, with a string tied to the trigger of the gun. The wrists of both of the victims were gashed with a knife or a razor.
