Kartigi, Westport, to-morrow. Totara, Westport, to-morrow. PROJECTED DEPARTURES. Alexander, Dargaville, this afternoon. Kartigi, Wellington, early. Totara, Gisborne, early. SHIPPING NOTES. The Alexander arrived yesterday afternoon, and is scheduled to sail this afternoon, with coal for Dargaville. The Kaimiro sailed this morning, for Westport, en route to Wellington. The Kanna sailed this morning for Wellington. The Kartigi is due early to-morrow morning, from Westport, to complete for "Wellington. The Totara is due early to-morrow morning, from Westport, to load for Napier, via Gisborne. OTHER PORTS. WELLINGTON, August 16. Sailed Gael, for Greymouth. FQXTON, August 16. Sailed: Huanui i*or Grey mouth. BLUE STAR LINE WELLINGTON, August 16. It is.definitely stated in Wellington that the Blue Star Line will shortly enter the New Zealand trade. New freight contracts for the carriage of frozen meat, dairy produce and fruit from New Zealand to the United Kingdom have been arranged in London, but no official statement is yet available regarding the rates of freight and other terms. It is believed in some quarters that the statement is being withheld until the Australian freight contracts have been arranged. In the meantime it is generally understood that the Blue Star Line has been included • in the New Zealand freight contracts, and that the ships of that company will enter the trade between the Dominion and Britain veiy shortly.
