DOCTOR’S FIGHT IN TRAIN
— —•'■j ■„» i, ■■■■ , POLICE COURT SEQUEL. LONDON, July 7. A fight between two doctors in a locked compartment of a railway train was described at. St. Helens Police Court yesterday, when Dr Rowan McCombe, Park-place, Liverpool, was charged with being drunk and disorderly and assaulting P.-c. Dickinson, of the St. Helens police. The policeman' was travelling on a train from Wigan to St. Helens shortly before midnight, on AVednesday, and on arrival at. St. Helens the foreman porter called his attention to Dr AleCombo and another doctor, who wore • in. a locked compartment. Dr McCombe was leaning out. of the carriage window and blood vas stream-
ing down his face. The other doctor seated in the carriage also bore marks of a fierce fight. AVhen spoken to by the policeman, who was in plain clothes. Dr AlcCombe clambonred through the window on io ihe platform. Dr Alc.Combe became abusive and was arrested. He li’ipped up P.-c. Dickinson, and the assistance of three ether policemen and a civilian had to be called to Lake him. into custody. Defendant was fined 10/- on each charge.
