St. Helens Police Court yesterday, when Dr Rowan McCombe, Park-place, Liverpool, was charged with being drunk and disorderly and assaulting P.-c. Dickinson, of the St. Helens police. The policeman' was travelling on a train from Wigan to St. Helens shortly before midnight, on AVednesday, and on arrival at. Dickinson, and the assistance of three ether policemen and a civilian had to be called to Lake him. into custody. Defendant was fined 10/- on each charge.
