ARBITRATION COURT
PROTEST AGAINST DELAY. [PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION-.] WELLINGTON. August 15. A request that an effort should be made to expedite the hearing of compensation cases, by the Arbitration Court, was made to the Minister <n Labour, to-day by a deputation, representing the Alliance of Labour. Mr L. Glover (Vice-President) said that considerable hardship was being suffered by litigants, as the result of delay that had occurred in the hearing of their cases. Mr Hamilton said the difficulty had
been that Justice Frazer, Judge of the Arbitration Court, was engaged with the Transport Appeal Board. However, he had arranged for the Court to sit in Auckland next week, and it was hoped a silting would bo held in Wellington shortly to deal with cases pending. The question of relieving Justice Frazer of his transport duties was at present being considered.
