FALL FROM CLIFF
SLEEP-WALKER KILLED
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
AUCKLAND, August 11
Presumed to have walked in his sleep, last night, a resident of Waiwera, Albert Cook, aged 65 years, fell from the top of the cliffs near the top of Waiwera Hill to- the rocks below, and was either killed or drowned. As Cook was in the habit of walking in his sleep, the doqi’ of the house was locked each night and the key was bidden. Apparently he rose some time during the night, dressed, found the key, aud then let himself out, and he evidently fell over the high cliffs close to the house. As he was barefooted, the other members of the family were not awakened. When the family rose this morning his absence was noticed immediately, and a search party was organised, but the body was not found until about three o’clock, this afternoon, about half a mile from the scene of the accident. Deceased leaves a wife and an adult family.
