DOCTOR'S FATAL INJURIES.

SYDNEY, August 8.

Doctor Gerald Samuelson, the ship’s doctor on board the Makura, . died yesterday from the effects of injuries received last Wednesday, when ho slipped on the deck of that vessel and fell 20 feet, into the chain locker. He was doctor on the ill-fated Tahiti, and was rescued before the vessel sank. During the war he had charge of the hospital ship “Stadt Antwerpen,” which was the King of Belgium’s yacht before the war. He practised in many parts of New' South Wales after the war.
