It announced that the- delegations have agreed to recommend their Governments to consult one another from time to time on monetary and economic policy with a view to establishing a common purpose and to reaffirming such measures as might conduce towards the achievement of that purpose. (Received July 31, 9 a.m.) LONDON, July 30. Mr Lloyd George says produce dealers complain that Dominions’ produce is able to undersell English grown, and he instances New Zealand butter is selling in London fifty per' cent, cheaper than can that produced in Devonshire. DRY BUTTER PROPOSAL. ELTHAM, July 31. Mr Young. Minister of Internal Affairs, was interviewed to-day regarding the suggestion that if in the event of the application of the quota, the simplest, way for the Government to apply it to the butter industry would be to withdraw permission for dairy companies to add 16 per cent. of water, thus automatically cutting down the bulk butter exported. The Minister, replying, said personally he did not think such a course would appeal to the Government. It was not practicable for several obvious reasons, which he briefly outlined. New Zealand would not get any more for its butter in a dry state, but so much of it was blended at Home, that the probabilities were the blenders, and not the producers, would benefit.
