A Commoner defeated the Prince of Wales, five up and four to play, in the final of the Parliamentary Golf Handicap, played at Coombe Hill, the Prince of . Wales conceding him four strokes in 36 holes. CLUB-HOUSE ACCIDENT. AUCKLAND, July 17. Serious injuries were received by Wilvyn Percy Baker, 32, solicitor, in the clubhouse at Titirangi golf links. He and others were practising chip shots, with an old wooden-shafted niblick, when the head of the club flew off and struck him above the forehead. He was taken to the hospital. His condition, to-day, is satisfactory.
