July 17 —Rata, s.s., 375 tons (Vasta), G. 50 a.m., from Westport. SAILED. Nil. IN PORT. Kaimai, Kartigi, Rata. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Karepo, Wellington, Thursday. Kini, Dunedin, early. PROJECTED DEPARTURES. Kaimai, Welington, to-morrow. Kartigi, Melbourne, early. Rata, Nelson, early, SHIPPING NOTES. The Kaimai sails to-morrow morning, with coal, for Miramar and Wellington. She returns about Saturday, to load for Napier and Gisborne, via Westport. The Kartigi arrived at 4.30 p.m. yesterday. She sails on Wednesday morning for Melbourne and Adelaide. The Karepo is due on Thursday to load for Wellington. The Kini left Dunedin on Friday with Greymouth cargo, via way ports. The Rata arrived this morning from Westport. She loads coal for Picton, Wellington and Nelson, and is due to sail this afternoon. . The Huanui sailed this afternoon with coal for Foxton. The Alexander leaves Wellington on Wednesday for Greymouth direct, with general cargo. She later sails for Westpotr and Pieton. AT OTHER PORTS. SUVA, July 17. Sailed, Port Dunedin, for Lyttelton. LONDON, July 16. Arrived at Colon, Mahana; sailed, Cornwall, from Monte Video. NEW CARGO VESSELS. LONDON, July 14. The New Zealand Shipping Company has invited tenders for two refrigerating Diesel-engined cargo vessels of about 10,000 tons deadweight.
