TRINIDAD HURRICANE
THOUSANDS HOMELESS.

Havoc reigned in the great Palo Seco oilfields, to-day, as the result of Tuesday’s hurricane, which caused at least 11 deaths, following reports of thousands homeless in a score of villages, and three hundred houses destroyed in Erin alone. A message from Palo Seco stated that 60 derricks of the Trinidad Petroleum Company were felled and destroyed, the oil flowing over the countryside from about 20 wells and storage tanks. The main delivery line, running 11 miles through the forest to the United British refinery, is broken by falling trees, and the entire contents were lost. JAMAICA NEXT ? (Received July 1, Noon.) WASHINGTON, June 30. The tropical hurricane, which struck Trinadad, was reported to-day to be continuing north-westward, towards Jamaica.
