£ OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Whilst following his employment in the Dobson mine.yesterday, Mr J. McNeish sustained severe injuries to a foot, through a piece o£ stone being dislodged from the icof. He ivas attended at the mine by Dr. Wilkinson, and later admitted to me Grey Hospital. A stalwart of West Coast Soccer, Mr J. Berry, is shortly to leave for England. His going will be a decided loss to the code, he. having captained the Coast rep. team on many occasions. as well as playing for Dobson for a number of years. Tie also was with Greymouth for a. season. The miners’ new library has opened at Wallsend. Two bil’iard tables are to be installed. Mr Duggan (Chief Inspector of Mines), accompanied by the District Inspector (Mr Strongman) made a tour of inspection at the Dobson mine yesterday.
