U.S.A. HEAT WAVE
NEARLY HUNDRED DEATHS. [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] NEW YORK, June 9. An unseasonable heat wave in the eastern and southern se'etions of the United States to-day resulted in almost one hundred deaths. The official temperature at New York was 96 degrees. The Philadelphia schools closed on account of the heat.
