General inference: An anti-cyclone is moving eastward off New Zealand. The tropical cyclone is travelling south-eastward from New Caledonia, and is likely to pass south of the Kermadecs. A rather deep depression covers the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate to fresh and increasing north-westerly winds.. Weather cloudy to overcast, with rain developing. Temperatures mild. Seas rather rough.
