JAPANESE ADVANCE
LITTLE OPPOSITION OFFERED. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN.-—COPYRIGHT.] (Received April 12, 9.30 a.m.) KOBE, April 11. An official statement declares: Patience having been exhausted, because the Chinese, mistaking restraint for weakness, still persist in attacking Japanese positions, a general advance south of the Wall has been launched. Owing to the vast superiority in arms, the Japanese advance is rapid, the Chinese leaving equipment and corpses, fleeing, and unless an agreement is reached as to a neutral zone, a halt will now be most difficult.
