She had started to buy ‘inferior ’ cheap tea .. . said it was nearly a shilling ; a pound cheaper than ‘ Amber Tips.’ It was about this time that we noticed that a pound of tea didn’t last as long as it , once did. Personally, I was sick of the cheap tea. Still, we had to economise. Then I read something that started me '■ '/ W thinking. Had we really been saving by buying cheap tea? I took careful note of how much tea was used and found that OMF not infrequently nearly twice the quantity was put in the teapot compared with the amount used when we had ‘Amber Tips.’ So I persuaded Mother to get ‘ Amber Tips ’ and use less. . Mother was sceptical at first. Admitted the flavour of ‘ Amber , z / Tips ’ was miles better and the tea itself more refreshing, but she couldn’t see how it could be cheaper. For a whole week OL/ we carefully measured the tea we used, and at the end of that period we found that ‘ Amber Tips ’ was miles cheaper than the so-called ‘ cheap ’ tea. Of course, ‘ Amber Tips ’ takes a little longer to draw . . . but it is far more refreshing, and the ' second cup is as delicious as the first.”
