IRISH RAILWAYMEN

FREE STATERS’ STRIKE.

BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.]

(Received April 11, 2 p.m.)

LONDON, April 10.

A Gilbertian situation has arisen on the Irish railways. While the Ulsterites returned to work following upon a settlement of April 8, seven thousand Free Staters, resenting a cut, struck at midnight.

Dublin is isolated and many visitors are stranded, although the railwaymen, at present, have no grievance, as the cuts only begin in May.
