A senior team did not meet with much success, nevertheless they player » football against, in most match , more experienced players and had some even games with the best teamin this grade. The junior team did very well, and reached the final ot one of the competitions, whilst, four or on players gained representative honours against Canterbury. IL was most gratifying to find that our thud division team did so well, and this was due to the enthusiasm thrown into the game by these young players, who had their reward in winning the championship and also the Campbell Cup competition. During the season we had a visit from the Christchurch Mai mt club, and I desire to thank all those who helped to make the visitors stay pleasant. The prospects for the coming season, are bright, and .; we will have no difficulty- >in again putting three teams in the field. lam pleased to see that we are able to show a small credit balance, and I desire to thank the officers of the Club, and also the players, for the interest they have taken in the Club’s affairs. I cannot conclude without making special mention of our indebtedness to Mr. C Restieaux for his management ot tne Club’s affairs. The balance-sheet, showing a satisfactory credit balance, was adopted. The election of officers resulted: — Patron: Mr. J. McLeod; President: Mr j. B. Paton; Vice-Presidents: Messrs. A. R. Hamill, R. Storey, E. Mayell, G. Howes, W. Robertson, F. Bayley senr., J l . Bennett, M. Muir and R. Graham, Secretary and Treasurer: Mr. C. Restieaux; Committee: Messrs. J. Hunter, J. Still, W. Allan, A. McMillan, I. Burn, J. Larking, F. Bayley senr., W. Robertson; Selectors: Senior: Messrs. J. B. Paton, C. Restieaux and team captain; Junior: Messrs D. Bell and C. Restieaux; Third Grade: Messrs I. Burn and C. Restieaux; Delegate to W.F.A.: Messrs. J. Hunter and W. Allan; Trainer: Mr. D. Steers. New members were elected as follow:—J. Barnhill, P. Clarke, R. Sinclair, P. Grogan, Airey, Roche and Lindbom. It was decided to nominate teams in each grade—senior, junior and third grade. Subscriptions were fixed at 2/6 for senior and junior, and 1/- for third grade. It was resolved that a letter be sent to Mr. J. McLeod expressing the club’s appreciation of his assistance last season. It was ; decided to approach the Greyraouth Trotting Club with regard to the use of Victoria, Park, during the coming season. Mt. and Mrs. Paton were accorded a vote of thanks for placing their home at the disposal of the club for the meetings.
