MISSIONS
THE COMING OF CHRIST. Either Jesus Christ is coming again or we must join with the sceptic in declaring Him an imposter. If we cannot believe His words promising that He will come again, what ground have we got for believing that His other teachings are true? Let us call to the witness-box the New Testament writers, and hear their testimony concerning the second appearing of the Lord. Their word should bear heavy weight upon the evidences of the Master’s return, for they were associated with Him in His earthly minis - try, or received the promise from the mouths of the disciples. Moody, the great evangelist, pointe 1 out that the return of Christ was mentioned 2700 times in the Bible. With such a galaxy of evidence from God’s Word, how can men overlook or deny the great theme of the second coming of Christ? These words were spoken by Pastor Sibley, at the tent. Mr Sibley is championing- the cause c the Bible doctrine of the return c ’ Christ. His next address will ho delivered to-morrow (Sunday) evening, whqn the first message from the boot: of Revelations will be given.
