The Kanna arrived last evening from Westport to load coal for Auckland. She is scheduled to sail to-morrow morning. The Kaimiro is due on Monday from Westport, to complete with coal for Wellington. The Kini is due on Monday from New Plymouth, to load coal for Miramar and Wellington. The Kaimai is due on April 10, to load coal for Wellington. The Karepo is due on April 10 from Auckland, to load timber for Sydney. COROMANDEL SCUTTLED. WELLINGTON, March 31. The hulk Coromandel was scuttled to-day in the local ‘‘burial yard” at Turakirae Head. She was taken out of port by the tug Terawhiti, and the scuttling took place about 1 o’clock. NEW MISSION STEAMER. LONDON, March 31. Messrs Cammell, Laird, Limited, of Birkenhead, have received the contract for a .steel steamer for the Melanesian Mission, to replace the wrecked Southeth Cross. The new steamer will be 20 feet longer than her predecessor, and is expected to be completed in August.
