Amazing reports are current in Nanking that Japan and Manchukuo contemplate a treaty providing for the conquest of all China, the establishment of a federated Chinese Empire, With Emperor Puyi resuming the throne. The Japanese captured the Kupeikow Pass, Jehol into North China. The Chinese forces are fleeing. The Japanese announce that they have no intention of proceeding beyond the Wall.
