REEFTON NOTES

REEFTON, March 13.

A cricket match was played yesterday on the Racecourse between teams representing Reefton Fire Brigade and the Reefton Railway staff. One innings only was played. The Fire Brigade won by 45 runs to 42. The final Swimming Carnival of the season was held at the Reefton Baths yesterday afternoon. The sunny afternoon brought a good crowd of spectators who were treated to a good afternoon’s sport. Some interesting finishes resulted. The Inangahua Silver Band was in attendance. Sister Peters of the local hospital staff, who has been on holiday, has resumed duty.
