M. Corbin the French Ambassador at Brussels, has been appointed as French Ambassador at London. Official Wireless.

Mr. H. E. Tonge, who for eight years has been assistant clerk of the Thames Magistrate’s Court, has been transferred to the position of CleiK of the Court at Murchison.

The Mayor (Mr J. W. Greenslade) and Town Clerk (Mr F. H. Denton), who have been attending the Municipal Conference at Rotorua, are expected to return to Greymouth by to-mor-row’s express.
