The Okarito Five Mile Beach Gold Dredging Company, Limited, report for four weeks from January 29 to February 25:—Total gold w r on: 3140 z Sdwt. Total time w’orked: 483 hours. Total non-working time: 93 hours. Total yardage treated: 31,700, an average of 65J cubic yards an hour. Average value of ground (on a, basis of gold worth £4 an ounce); 9£d a cubic yard. BLACKWATER MINES. During the month of February, 3310 tons were treated yielding 1703 fine ozs. gold, the value of ■which (taking gold at 115/- per fine oz.) is £9791. Working costs were £5421, leaving an estimated working profit for the month of £4370. Development expenditure for the month was £Bl3. Capital expenditure for the month was £740.

No. 9 level North was extended 23 feet, carrying reef the full distance of an average value of 16 dwts. over 17 inches in width.
