Third Round: Mrs. Mercer (Greymouth) won by default from Mrs. Gillespie (Westport); Mrs. McCracken beat Mrs. Davies (Greymouth) 26/23; Mrs. Whibley won by default from Mrs. Allan Smith. Semifinals: Mrs. McCracken beat Mrs. Mercer 26/23; Mrs. Whibley beat Mrs Robertson 26/25. The final between Mrs. McCracken and Mrs. Whibley is being played this afternoon. Handicap Doubles—Second round:— Mrs. Tennent and Mrs. Hannan beat Mrs. Whibley and Mrs. ’ Robertson 26/24; Miss Hambleton and Mrs. Topliss beat Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Coburn 26/17. Semi-final: Mrs. Mercer and Mrs. Davies beat Miss Hambleton and Mrs. Topliss 26/15. The other semi-final between Mrs. Tennent and Mrs. Hannan and Mrs. Allan Smith and Mrs. Reynolds remains to be played.
