SHIPPING NOTES The Kaimai is scheduled to sail this afternoon with coal for Wellington. The Huanui is due to-morrow, from I oxton to load coal for return. 'lhe Kiwitea is due on Monday to load coal for Wellington and Auckland.

The Kaimiro is due on Thursday to load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide. Kaimai is expected to return on Friday, to load coal for New Plymouth, Napier, and Gisborne, via Westport. The Rata, which left Wellington yesterday, leaves Onakaka to-day for westport and Greymouth . She is due on Monday night, and after discharge of general cargo will load coal for Picton and Wanganui. MATSON LINE. NEW YORK, January 12. The new Matson liner, “Lurline,” has sailed on her maiden voyage to San Pedro. The “Lurline” is sailing from San Pedro on January 28, inaugurating her Australian service.
