POWER STATIONS. [BY CABLE —PBEBB ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] RUGBY, January 12. An order has been placed for a turbo-generating unit of 140,000 horsepower for a new super power station at Battersea, which is to be opened next summer. This unit is the largest ordered in Great Britain, and will be one of the largest in the world. Extensions of 200,000 horse-power to the Barking super-poxder station have been completed, rendering it the greatest power station in the British Empire, with a total capacity of 530,000 horse-power. ROUMANIAN GOVT RESIGNS. BUCHAREST, January 13. The Manin Government has resigned owing to Carol’s refusal to sanction the dismissal of a prefect. M. Titulesco, Foreign Minister has returned from Switzerland. It is beiley-i ed that ex-Premier Vaida Voevod will be entrusted to form a new Government. FRANCE’S GOLD. PARIS, January 13.
