Tn the face of British and American opposition, the Plenary RadioTelegraph .Conference resolved to adopt a five-letter code in place of the ten letter code. Britain intends to continue her strenuous opposition. BRITAIN’S TRADE RETURNS. LONDON, November 11. The Board of Trade figures for October, compared with the corresponding period for the previous year, were:—lmports £60,828,000, exports £30,440,000, re-exports £3,692,000. The principal decreases in imports are: Grain and flour £431,000; meat, £1,525,000; live animals, £1,162,000; other food and drink, £2,847,000. In exports, iron, steel and manufactures thereof £1,096,000; cotton yarhs and manufactures, £841,000; woollen do. £1,302,000; apparel, £1,191,000; coal, £586,000; machinery, £543,000. Increases were: Imports — Cotton, £791,000; wool, £295,0000.
