Only one engine is being used by the Huddart Parker steamer, Zealandia, which sailed for Sydney this afternoon with passengers, mail and cargo. In consequence the vessel’s speed will be slower than usual, and she is not expected to reach Sydney before Wednesday, instead of Tuesday-. A crack was discovered in the port engine earlier in the day, ahd it was im-» possible to repair the defect before sailing time. The Zealandia is fitted with twin screws, so that it was decided to despatch her to Sydney under one engine, and avoid a prolonged delay at Auckland. The repairs Will be done at Sydney before the Zealandia sails for Wellington next Friday.
